The Adult Literacy and Numeracy qualifications:

• Level 2 are equivalent to GCSE Grades A* - C
• Level 1 are equivalent to GCSE Grades D - G 

These courses are at the same level, however the tests are not alternatives to these qualifications because they do not cover or assess the same range of skills.
