VRQs - Vocationally Related Qualifications
VRQs are non NVQ qualifications such as certificates, diplomas and
post-graduate diplomas in Management which are nationally recognised
qualifications as indicated in the National Framework chart.
What is a VRQ?
Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs) are nationally recognised qualifications which follow the traditional study process of teach, practise and assessment. They are based on the national framework of qualifications and are applicable for managers at all levels. Like NVQs they cover the functions of managing activities, people, resources, information, energy and
quality. VRQs are available as Introductory and Full qualifications.
What is the difference between an Introductory and Full VRQ qualification?
At each of the management levels VRQs are available as an Introductory and Full awards. Introductory awards are scaled down versions of the Full awards. The Introductory Awards are intended as 'tasters' which allow you the opportunity to build your confidence and gain a qualification whilst improving your management skills.
Who will benefit from Introductory VRQs?
Introductory awards are suitable for:-

has been undertaken
-
Someone who might be unsure, apprehensive about embarking on a full
qualification
-
Managers who are new to the academic type of qualifications, i.e. writing
assignments etc
